H7 Means My Turf

Posted on Updated on

For more than a year now, the place where “everything” work related happens is my cube. Ever since I started working in Lawson, this was my place and my cube.

I love my cube! It is located along the aisle. So for short, I am facing the crowd who passes by the aisle. And I love that! At least I see everyone who walks pass me.

This is an improvement for me. In my previous work as a call center, we don’t have a cube. We just have stall and we sit together. But that was OK for us. Also, in my previous work in Headstrong, we don’t have our own telephones. Now, I have my own cube, own telephone and I love it!

Most of the stuff “in” my cube are the usual stuff. I always make sure that arrange the things in my cube as often as possible.

Hope you guys can visit my place soon! hehehehe, as if pwede!

Sur Boracay

Posted on Updated on

Last summer, I visited the wonderful Boracay Island twice First was with my cousins in the Salazar side with my Doms last February and the second was with my whole family when Ate Bern visited Manila last April.

Boracay is a beautiful island. For beach addicts like me, it was a complete sight of heaven and zen. With it’s powdery white sand that tickles you barefoot, Borocay is really the place to be during the summer.

During my first visit there, my cousins with Doms and I stayed in Residencia de Tirol in Beach Pier 1. It was a nice beach front resort. But, I didn’t recommend that place to my sister. What I recommended was Sur Boracay. It was also located in terminal 1 and it is a very nice beach resort. It’s clean and white, parang ngipin?

The prices of the room per night is kinda high but compared to the other resorts, the price is worth it. Our 4 days-3 nights stay there includes daily breakfast of our choice. The people and the staff are friendly and the ambiance was really great.

So the next time you plan to visit the island of Boracay, be sure to stay in Sur.

Of Gifts and Presents

Posted on Updated on

Last July 4, 2008, I announced to everyone that I would take the time off from work and declared the day as my “birthday leave”.But, I woke up early that day. Why? Because dad, mom, LA and Ate Bern greeted me and gave me their gifts.

My parents and my brother gave me a very touching and cute greeting card. They also gave me a mini poster with my fave picture in it and some flowers around me. Ate Bern gave me also a card and some pocket money for me to shop.

All in all, that day was really a happy day for me. A lot of people greeted me through text, or through email. Some called me up and some hugged me personally.

One thing that I was really excited about was what my baby will give me during this day. I kept on bugging him days before my birthday and I kept on asking him “anu gift mo sakin?” or “bigyan mo nalang ako ng clue, starts with the letter???” I’m the worst in waiting and surprises. So when he arrived the afternoon of my birthday and I saw a cute cute, shoe-box sized carton in front of me, I was excited. These are the things I thought were inside the box:

  • shoes or sandals
  • jacket
  • CD
  • puppy! (huh?!?!)
  • or stuffed toy

To my surprise, none of the things that were running in my mind was inside the box. I had problems opening the box. The ornament around it was so cute to cut, but I did it. I gave the box one last shrug hoping to hear what’s inside. When I opened it I saw it. Because I didn’t see ALL in one time…

First was a cute pink rose… I was in the verge of crying because this was the first time Doms gave me a flower. Before, he drew me a flower but now, this was the real thing, a real live flower, and it’s pink! I really thought that that was his only gift. But amidst the tissue the gift wrapper, I got to see his second gift, a pink Nike shirt! Doms likes giving me Nike stuff. Before, he gave me a Nike pink water tumbler. Then last Christmas he gave me a pink jacket, also a Nike. Anyway, tucked at the bottom of the box is a cute card saying, “For my Sweetheart, on your birthday”. This was the point that tears were really rolling down my eyes. Guys don’t usually give cards or letters to their gfs and Doms gave me one.

The letter inside was the best. That was the greatest gift I got from Doms that day. I love you so much and thanks for loving me so much too. *mwah*

After this wonderful experience, Doms and I went to Trinoma to have dessert. Then, together with my family at dinner time we ate at Little Asia, Greenhills.

That day was a happy day for me. The people I want to be with are with me and the things that I want to happen did come true. Thank you to everyone who greeted me on that day. Now, I’m excited for my next birthday!

25 years and counting

Posted on Updated on

Yes, you read it right! I am already 25 years old.

It’s so funny because I was looking through my old blogs. I realized that I am more (ummm, 2 years more) mature now than when I was since my last blog. My blogs back then were mostly about high school and college feelings. Like, how my days were when I am still part of 4E1 and how Mer, Tansio and Yap are my close buddies; how Eden and Nicole went through the Summer Youth Camp in Zambales; how Ate Lala shared her activities in PYM; how my sister spent her salary from being a nurse in Heart Center; how my love life ended and started…

All of those stuff and happenings seems so long ago. I’ve been through a lot and I am happy who I am now…

When I woke up this morning, it was raining so hard I thought I was still in college where heavy rain means heavy sleeping because classes are suspended. But reality hit me when my mom told me to get ready for work already because I might be stuck in traffic. So I did my daily routine, not knowing what will happen in my Thursday.

I started work as early as possible, I am a Technical WRITER by the way, and I write technical stuff. One of the main reasons why I wanted a features blog is because I’m drained with writing about ledgers and payrolls. We ate lunch out and we had pizza for snacks. I love doing what I am doing. Working and having fun with my friends. Where else can you get that? But sometimes, there are moments when you just want to breathe… And I did my breathing when I was on my home from work. I am asking myself, who am I now? What made me different from my previous years?

Right now, I have a wider perspective of life. Saving does not only mean saving for that pair of shoes or sandals, but saving is for future purposes. Yep, you read it right again, I am planning for my future. Actually, we are planning for our future.

The person I want to spend the rest of my life with is Alvin Dominic “Doms” Valentin. We’ve been a couple for almost 2 years already. When you read my past blogs you’ll be surprised to know that a “man-hater” like me found the person who I know will take care of me and the person I will take care of. Yes, everything came into place when I met him. He loves me and I love him. And we are happy.

Aside from Doms, my family has also evolved. We are now more open to changes and we try to understand more often. My sister is now based in Ireland and she is doing great over there.

These are just some of the things about me right now. In my coming blog entries, you will see that what made as a person is really based from who I am before. And to find that out, spend time reading my past blogs: http://dindindyosa.blogspot.com/ and http://dindinstars.blogspot.com/

Cheers!
