Lunch at Mary Grace, Trinoma

Posted on Updated on

I never liked eating alone. Be it at home or dining out, I hate it! But there are times that stomach pangs matter more than anything else. So, after getting my OEC from DFA Trinoma, I headed for Mary Grace.

To my surprise, I wasn’t the only person there dining alone.

The waiter who fixed my table recommended their Classic Carbonarra and Apple Cinnamon Iced Tea.

I loved my meal! The carbonarra tasted creamy and I loved the iced tea!

Next time, I hope I can be with my family when I eat here.

Pinas, Here We Come

I scheduled our flight back to Manila to prepare for my delivery to September 8, 2012. I used up all my annual leaves from work first and the start of my maternity leave will be on the 24th of September.

Doms and I opted to use Philippine Airlines since Singapore Airlines was so expensive. I was not allowed to travel using Cebu Pacific and Jetstar because I am currently 33 weeks preggy. There are certain airline regulations for pregnant women.

Anyway, before our flight, Doms tried his luck with this betting game but he didn’t win anything.

The 3 and half hour flight was a breeze! The food was great! Our seats were comfy too. Doms wanted to trade my seat to the “Ang Mho” who was seated in the aisle so that it will be easy for me to go to the toilet. But the dude upgraded so it was nice and we had the whole row to ourselves.

My Dad was the one who got us from the airport. We passed by Jollibee for take-away breakfast then went home. We did a lot of activities in the short time Doms was here in Manila.

For his last day before flying back to Singapore, we ate dinner at Blackbeard Seafood Island, Trinoma. This was our food.

It was kind of a ri-off for me. My total bill was 2,100 PHP and the food was just simple. We should have just ate in Mann Hann.

Anyway, I wasn’t able to take a lot pf photos.

I’ll Definitely Buy One of These Later

Posted on Updated on

Rainy season is already here and one of the things I hate the most about this season is walking the streets of Manila with mud or drops of water getting in the pair of shoes that I’m wearing. It’s very disgusting! Not knowing where that water or mud came from. So, one solution that I thought of is buying a pair of comfy slippers that I can wipe easily. Sorry to say but the “other” type of flip flops that’s been crazing a lot of people is not the one I’ll buy. Instead, I’ll buy a pair of Ipanema Sandals.

One of my officemates has a pair of these already and she seems to love it. It goes well with t-shirt and jeans and it’s very light. Also, one thing that I really I love about this is the price. It’s not as expensive as the “other” type of sandals that I know. So, expect to see the color that I will buy later. I’ll post pics here.

The Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

Posted on Updated on

Last Friday, Doms’ fetched me in my office. Then we went straight to Trinoma. We can’t decide what to do so so we just watched a movie. The movie that we chose to watch was the third movie of Brendan Fraser as a mummy hunter.

All in all, the movie was OK. There were just some scenes that we thought was funny because it was impossible to happen. Like the time during the war between the emperors’ army, Terracotta and the army of the undead, one of the human soldiers was bombed but they still survived! It’s a good thing most of the parts of the movie were funny.

Basag sa 4xForce Gilmore with Doms’ Officemates

Yesterday, Doms and I had a busy day. We started our schedule by meeting in Trinoma. We decided to eat lunch early. I had a sudden craving for tempura so we ate in Teriyaki Boy. My golly! I missed this restaurant! After that, we consulted the Dermatologist from Dermstrata  about Doms’ scalp problems. We learned that he needs to cut out some of his hair for the medicines to work. The rest of our morning was just spent walking around, shopping and doing our bi-monthly grocery.

At around 1pm, Doms’ had a shoot in DPI Astoria. I told him I don’t like to join him in his shoot because I’m not into that. So, he suggested that I go home first and he will just meet me after the shoot. So, we did that. Around 5:30pm I left the house to meet my baby in Cubao. Then we headed straight to 4xForce.

4xForce is the place where Doms and his officemates usually hang-out and have a good time. In short, dun sila madalas uminom! This place is just near their office, kaya they just walk going there. We ate dinner there and after that, drink galore!

Doms’ friends are so nice. They really know how to have a good time. I’ll be posting pictures here and in my other accounts.

Thanks Doms for introducing me to those people. Love you!
